Dr. John Strother provides leading-edge care, combining the latest breakthroughs in cancer treatment with respect and compassion for every patient.

Known for his commitment to excellence, Dr. Strother is the medical director for the Salem Cancer Institute/OHSU Knight Cancer Institute affiliation. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Community Oncology Alliance.

John grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania. At Penn State University, he finished his undergraduate work in pre-medicine in two and a half years. He also has a Bachelor of Arts in history.

In his free time, Dr. Strother is an avid runner and bicyclist, and enjoys skiing with his family in the winter.
